Earth Day - Wetland Walk and Talk

Join us for earth day at the Mead!

We will meet at the Visitor Center at 10AM for coffee, tea and an introduction on “What are Wetlands”. Following the introduction, you will have a choice of four locations to walk and talk with an expert.

The experts will guide tours into the wetlands and share knowledge on the following topics:

  • Avian blood parasites found at the Mead Wildlife Area

  • Wetland birds

  • A brief history of water management on the Mead

  • Assessing North American river otter presence on the Little Eau Pleine River

Trails are gravel surfaces and uneven. Please dress accordingly.
